Neuschwanstein Schloss, Bayern

Hohenschwan Schloss

We visited this much coveted Neuschwanstein Castle built by the late King Ludwig II of Bavaria. Unfortunately it was not finished due to the 'mysterious death' of the King. I believe that if the King would have lived longer, this very piece of splendid architectural Marvel will be another wonder of the world, if not Germany. Indeed lots of fairy tales or cartoons with castles are based on this masterpiece alone. Direct translation to English is 'The New Swan Stone' Castle. Swan is said to be a sacred creature, but i have no idea about the stone.

Lego Inc. choose to build a Legoland in G├╝nsburg, Germany instead of having them in Tokyo, Japan. So we decided to visit this place and indeed it brought back memories, where you first touch Lego and admire what you built out af many small pieces of Legobricks. Here in Legoland, there are amusement parks (we tried some, though they are specially not designed for our age) and also cities (of famous European countries) built from Legobricks alone.

The latest, main attraction is the Bionics (or Biotronics...couldn't remember). Here you got to programm the moving sequences of a machine, where you would ride on it later. We choose the most demanding and soul-draining sequence. As a result, we were tossed around 360 degrees in 6 degree of movement freedom in an x-y-z axis. You can really feel the G-Force and blood gushing to your head.

Afterall it's worthwhile spending 24 Euro (single entry), considering that we get to experience G-Force and also to "visit" Amsterdam, Venice, Berlin, Frankfurt and Hamburg Legocities in such a short time. Till then.

Heidelberg, a very nice tourist attraction, with the castle and the long street where one can shop as much as one can. It's worthwhile visiting the castle, nicely and strategically built on top of a mountain. Experience yourself the splendid architecture of the buildings in Heidelberg, either through the pictures or come and visit Heidelberg.

Fastnacht in Singen, Germany

People dressed up in a funny way and paraded across the street. That's how Fastnacht was celebrated in Singen. It's nice looking at the funny costumes and the masks. Some were angry looking (like witches) and some were weird (with bells all over). People there were friendly and I suppose they enjoyed posing for photos, with their masks put on. No one rejected us, when we invited them to take picture, and they even asked their 'clan' to join in. So much fun afterall...
